Meredith Salenger
Salenger lived and grew up in Malibu. She was a performer for relatives and friends as young children. As young as eight years old Her mother took her to her very first acting class. The first part she played was a small part as the 'orphan with a singing and dancing dance as part of the feature film Annie directed by John Huston. Salenger was also featured in the commercials of a couple of television networks. Salenger was first cast in The Journey of Natty Gann produced by Disney that starred John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film received the Moscow Film Festival's golden medal for being the first American-made film. In addition, she won "Best Female Actress in a drama" at the Youth in Film Awards in the recognition of her character as the charming Natty. The actress also appeared in four films prior to turning the age of 18. One of her films is A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard for a higher education.
